Viktor Suglob reunited the most rare and unknown Russian and Soviet Photo cameras. The most serious work up to now.  All described cameras have clear photos showing  them.  A fascinating work.

It is opened for visitation daily from 11:00 to 19:00, with an interval from 14:00 to 14:40.

This museum was opened to the public in September of 2004 .

The Museum had the support of Grigory Shaternik and begun with an amount of 500 cameras. Today has more than 2500 units and the oldest one date from 1842. This fantastic book has 1000 of them.

 

 

Viktor Suglob is the new Soviet/Russian camera authority in the camera world.  This book by Viktor Suglob is coming out late 2007 in Russian and in English in 2008, will be the most complete and comprehensive catalog of Soviet equipment known to date.

 Viktor Suglob, is also a great photographer. In Kaunas, Viktor the founder and owner of the museum-gallery “Mir Photo“, recently prepared an exhibition “Steps over Earth”, where nature and landscape are presented. The art photographer is working only with film camera.

According to the art specialists his “Byelorussian Photographic Art” entitled him as “One of the best of Lithuanian and Kaunas photography masters”.
